Per RIDOH, fully vaccinated individuals traveling to RI both domestically and internationally do not have to quarantine upon arrival/return to RI. Vaccinated travelers are still encouraged get a COVID-19 test between 5 and 10 days after out-of-state travel. Always watch for symptoms for a full 14 days after travel. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, isolate at home and get tested. We recommend you keep a copy of your vaccination card on your person. A paper or electronic copy are acceptable.
If you are NON vaccinated and are coming to Rhode Island from one of the states listed on https://health.ri.gov/covid/ with a positivity rate of COVID-19 greater than 5%, you will either have to self-quarantine for 14 days while in Rhode Island, or produce proof of a negative test for COVID-19 that was taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in Rhode Island. If you receive a test after arriving in Rhode Island and get a negative test result, you can stop quarantining.
