The Sandpiper Lodging at the Beach is a charming family run operation nestled behind Stinson Beach State Park just steps to the ocean and the town's amenities. We offer guests a great selection of clean and comfortable lodging accommodations, including six hotel rooms in our main lodge and four rustic cottages near our garden. All our rooms and cottages feature queen beds, private bathrooms, gas fireplaces, mini-fridge, coffee maker, microwave, coffee, hot chocolate and tea selection, and TV/DVD/wireless internet access. Our four cottages additionally offer guests full kitchens and full bathrooms with tubs. All are rooms are non-smoking and we do not allow pets. Our lushly vegetated walk-ways, sitting areas and gardens make the Sandpiper not only a beautiful and relaxing place to stay, but also the perfect place to hangout, read a book, drink a glass of wine, BBQ, or take a nap. Our garden area offers BBQs, tables with umbrellas and lounge chairs.

Situated between the waters of the Pacific and the foot of Mt. Tamalpais, Stinson Beach offers visitors an unlimited array of activities with three miles of gorgeous beach and waves, exquisite birding, whale watching, kayaking, surfing, horseback riding, bike riding, hiking, mountain bike riding, restaurants serving local seafood and organic greens, and great shops and galleries. Surrounded by protected national and state lands, Stinson Beach boasts rural seaside beauty, but is still only a short driving distance to the major metropolis of San Francisco and other attractions. We are less than an hours drive from San Francisco, a fifteen minute drive to Muir Woods National Monument, a twenty minute drive to the Pt. Reyes National Seashore, and a forty minute drive to Samuel P. Taylor State Park, and a little over an hours drive to the wine country of Napa, Sonoma and Calistoga.
